About Laura.

Brave Minds Coaching Founder

Most parents come to me at a moment when things feel frightening, overwhelming, or confusing. Their child is struggling, the home feels tense, and they’re trying everything they know to help but nothing seems to work long enough. The fear of “What if this gets worse?” sits under every conversation, every school call, every outburst, every quiet moment at night.

I understand that feeling deeply. I spent years raising my own boys while navigating emotional challenges, school pressure, behavioral concerns, and the weight of wanting to do everything right but not knowing where to turn. I remember what it felt like to search for help and only find long waitlists, confusing systems, or professionals who didn’t take the time to really understand the whole child or the whole family.

This work matters to me because I know how life changing it is when a parent finally feels seen, understood, and supported. When families stop walking on eggshells. When a child starts to trust themselves again. When the home begins to settle and everyone can finally breathe.

My background included supporting hundreds of children, teens, and families as a pediatric mental health coach, parent support coach, and ICF credentialed professional. But the heart of my work isn’t about credentials. It’s about sitting with parents in the hardest moments, helping them make sense of their child’s behaviors, giving them clear guidance, and helping them build a new emotional foundation that strengthens the entire family.

Parents don’t come to Brave Minds for quick tips. They come for a partner who understands the complexity behind sensory overload, anxiety, emotional disregulation, impulsive behavior, or a child who feels shut down and overwhelmed. They come because they want a coach who blends emotional attunement, neuroscience, structured support, and practical tools they can use right away.

The transformation I help families achieve is simple but powerful.

Children feel safer and more regulated.

Parents feel more confident, informed, and calm.

Relationships strengthen.

Homes become steadier and more predictable.

Everyone has a path forward.

If you’re here, there is a reason. You’re advocating for your child. You’re looking for someone who can take this journey with you. You’re hoping for real solutions, not generic advice.

I’m here to guide you through this with clear direction, compassion, and a plan that fits your child, your family, and your values. You don’t have to figure this out alone.
